Rose Township Supervisor Dianne Scheib-Snider
has served several decades in public service. She has served the past 8 years
as the Rose Township Supervisor, 16 years on the Rose Township Board of
Trustees, 8 years as a Rose Township Planning Commissioner, 12 years at a public
school and 5 years on our local fire department as a State of Michigan Certified
firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician.
Thirty-three
years ago, Dianne chose Rose Township for her forever home. She is now the
mother to 3 adult children, who were raised in Rose Township, attended Rose
Pioneer Elementary, and graduated with honors from Holly High School. Her
daughter was valedictorian of her class. All 3 of her children have attended
universities of their choice. They simply love the natural beauty of their
backyard. For them, like so many others, there is no
place like Rose!
II was raised in Commerce Township, Michigan with
my parents Charles and Patricia Scheib and my five siblings.
I attended Walled Lake Consolidated Schools and
graduated from Walled Lake Western High school, Class of 1982. After High
school I attend Oakland Community College while working as a goldsmith and
later becoming a retail jewelry shop manager. I put my career on hold to be mom
to my 3 children, my favorite job.
I later attended Fire Academy and earned my
State of Michigan Firefighter Certification and my Emergency Medical Technician
Certificate. I have completed a Paramedic Program. I worked fire rescue here in
Rose Township for about 5 years, during that time I taught Fire Prevention to
our children in our schools and at local events. I really enjoy kids.
I was a Para Educator at Milford High School for
twelve years, served on the District’s Safety Committee, was part of the
Emergency Response Team, which I was instrumental in creating. I co-wrote with
our police liaison and administrators an Emergency Plan for the staff and students
and that plan was used district wide as a guide.
